Welcome to Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center (SCCTC). Our school takes pride in serving the Springfield and Clark County Ohio region. OUR FOCUS: Students and Families, whom we regard as our primary customers. We are CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION, and as such we focus on current and emerging career opportunities for our learners. Our product is STUDENT PERFORMANCE, which sets goals for curricular and technical infrastructure. We truly believe that CUSTOMER SERVICE is the guiding principle to meeting the mission of our school.
Superintendent Rick Smith
On May 14, 2012 the Springfield-Clark CTC Board of Education appointed Mr. Rick Smith to the Superintendent position. He previously served as CTC's Interim Superintendent and Executive Director. Mr. Smith was an administrator at Tolles CTC in Plain City and at Tri-Rivers Career Center in Marion prior to coming to the CTC. This is Mr. Smith's 11th year in Career Tech Education and his 8th as an administrator. Mr. Smith grew up in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University and began his career as a social studies teacher. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Youth Development from Concordia-St. Paul University and completed his credentials for principal licensure through the University of Findlay, and his superintendent's licensure through Ashland University.
Welcome to our campus! SCCTC is definitely not the stereotypical trade school of the past. Our Career Technology Center is a Learning Organization that is inquiry driven, curriculum based, and student centered. 75% of Ohio's current and emerging workforce training needs are served by Career Technology Centers and Community/Technical Colleges. Ohio's CTC's and Technical Colleges partner to serve the needs of business and industry.
